Financial Policy

Thank you for choosing our practice to provide your dental care…

Our office is committed to providing high quality care to our patients. Our goal is to help you reach the best oral health possible so you can enjoy the benefits of a healthy and attractive smile. Having a clear understanding of financial expectations before you begin your treatment promotes the best environment to achieve these goals.

Your Dental Insurance

It’s important to remember that your insurance coverage is a contract between you, your employer, and your insurance company. Benefits and coverage vary significantly from plan to plan and our office does not play a part in the determination of coverage levels. It is important to keep in mind that insurance coverage is not designed to provide 100% benefit, but rather is meant to assist you with the cost of dental care.

As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to submit your claims for services rendered and accept payment directly from most insurance companies. In order for us to do this, you must provide us with accurate and up-to-date insurance information. We will verify your coverage and benefits before your appointment. With this information, we will provide you with an estimate of your responsibility for any dental treatment that you may need. At the time of your appointment you will be responsible for your estimated co-payment. This estimated portion is always based on the information that your insurance company provides us upon verification of your eligibility.

We always do our best to help you receive the maximum benefits available under your plan, however please remember that any balance incurred and not paid by your insurance company is your responsibility. Our office is considered participating providers with Delta Dental, MetLife and Cigna PPO (Radius). As a contracted provider with these insurance companies, we will work closely with them to ensure that your dental expenses are their lowest.

Payment for Services

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. If you have dental insurance, we will provide an estimate of your co-payment and collect your portion at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also offer Care Credit as an option for outside healthcare financing. Both plans offer interest-free payment plans and extended payment plans upon approval. Please click on the link below to apply or find out more information.

A late fee of 1.5% will be assessed monthly to accounts after 60 days. Any unpaid balance over 90 days will be considered delinquent and may be turned over to a collection agency. Additional collection fees may apply. Our office reserves the right to charge a returned check fee of $35.00 for any check that is not honored by your bank.

As always, if you have any specific questions about our policy or how your dental plan will pay us, please call our office at 919.659.0015.
